As part of the World Environment Day 2026 observance, the Nature Club of Al Shifa College of Arts and Science organised the installation of a Used Pen Collection Box on 5 June 2026 at 10:30 a.m. The initiative was launched with the objective of promoting environmental sustainability and encouraging responsible waste management practices among students and staff.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. Kamaludheen K. T., Principal, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the importance of adopting eco-friendly habits and highlighted the role of educational institutions in fostering environmental consciousness among young people. He appreciated the efforts of the Nature Club in introducing an innovative recycling initiative that contributes to reducing plastic waste.
