Sessional/ Internal Examination

Examinations are run to motivate students to update and revise the subjects that are taught so far, to evaluate their performance and scaffold them based on their scores, to provide an insight to teachers on students’ understandability, to rework on rendition of the subjects and for the management to measure the outcome of teaching and learning practices of the institution and ensure that better environment is facilitated. At the College, Internal Examinations and Audit Course Examinations are held according to the University guidelines and Sessions Examinations in every semester.

Sessional Examination:

In each semester of the UG Courses, one sessional Examination and an internal Examination each, is to be held. Sessional Examination should tentatively be held not later than two months since the semester begins.

Question papers must be prepared three days prior to the first day of the examination and submitted before the controller of examination. The distribution of answer scripts, tabulation and preparation of score sheet and uploading the marks on the LMS (Icampuz) must be completed in the stipulated time. All the related documents are documented and a copy of each must be filed by the controller of examination, IQAC and the Departments.

Internal Examination:

Internal Examinations complies strictly the regulations put forward by the University of Calicut.

Evaluation and Grading

Mark system is followed instead of direct grading for each question. Each course in the semester letter grade and grade point are introduced in 10-point indirect grading system per guidelines given by the University of Calicut.

Duration and maximum Marks:

The duration and maximum marks for the Internal Examination shall be according to the University guidelines.
