The Sarangi Music Club of Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, Keezhattur, in collaboration with the Unora Students Union, organised a muttipattu performance on 31st July 2026 to welcome the newly joined students to the college. The event brought together students from across all years, along with faculty members, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere that extended a warm welcome to the freshers.

The performance showcased muttipattu, a traditional folk art form rooted in rhythm and collective singing, presented by the members of the Music Club. Instruments such as the triple drum, clapbox, hand tambourine, and harmonium were played by the club’s instrumentalists, accompanied by its singers, recreating the vibrant and communal spirit that the art form is known for.
