The college has started the “Trading Club” with the aim of providing basic ideas on the capital market and giving practical experience to its members. The membership is open to all Commerce students in the college.
The vision is to spread knowledge of the capital market as an investment avenue among college students and to provide knowledge on the fundamentals of investments and market analysis. Also to give guidance to become a good investor.

1 Orientation on Indian Financial Market Conducted on 8 August 2025 at the Seminar Hall, this session was led by Dr. Prasanth P. V. The programme provided insights into the structure, functioning, and recent developments in the Indian financial market, covering capital markets, money markets, and regulatory aspects. Around 20 students participated actively, making the session interactive and enriching their understanding of investment opportunities and market mechanisms.
2 FinQuest – Online Quiz Organized on 8 October 2025 in connection with World Financial Planning Day, this online quiz aimed to promote financial awareness and planning skills among students. A total of 40 participants took part in the event, which tested their knowledge of financial systems and concepts. The initiative successfully encouraged analytical thinking and enhanced financial literacy, with all participants receiving E-certificates.
3 Vision to Venture: The Story of a Trading Entrepreneur Held on 21 October 2025, this session featured Mr. Fahiz, founder of Portfyo Stock Traders, who shared his entrepreneurial journey and practical insights into trading. The session covered technical analysis, chart patterns, and risk management strategies. It motivated students to explore opportunities in trading and entrepreneurship while providing real-world exposure beyond academic learning.
4 Trade with Confidence: Learn the Basics of Security Analysis Conducted on 18 September 2025, this session was inaugurated by the Vice Principal and handled by Mr. Sarath Meledath. It focused on the fundamentals of security analysis, including evaluation techniques and investment decision-making. The session was interactive, helping students gain clarity on key financial concepts and practical trading approaches.
5 Trade Talk – Interaction with Student Traders Organized on 21 January 2026, this interactive session enabled students to engage directly with experienced student traders. The resource persons shared their trading experiences, strategies, and risk management techniques. With 21 participants, the session created a practical learning environment and helped students bridge the gap between theory and real-time trading practices.
6 Portfolio Making Workshop Conducted on 3 March 2026, this workshop was led by Mr. Muhammed Shuhaib P. from Stockex Academy. It focused on portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk diversification strategies. Through real-time examples and discussions, students gained practical knowledge on managing investments and building long-term wealth, making the session highly beneficial and application-oriented.
7 Live Market Watch The Live Market Watch program, organized by the Trading Club of the Department of Commerce and Management Studies at Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, Keezhattur, Perinthalmanna, was held on 18 March 2026 at LH 05 and led by Muhammed Arsal T.K. The session provided practical exposure to real-time stock market activities, enabling students to understand price movements, trading volumes, and market trends. It was interactive in nature, covering basic trading strategies, chart analysis, and risk management, and effectively enhanced students’ analytical skills and understanding of market decision-making.
