The inauguration of the Three-Day FYUGP Induction Programme for the academic year 2026–27 was organized at Al Shifa College of Arts & Science on 13 July 2026 at 9:30 a.m. The programme commenced with a prayer by the College Choir, followed by a welcome address by the Principal, Dr. Kamaludheen K.T. The formal inauguration was performed by Dr. P. Unneen, Managing Trustee, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Mr. Abdul Rassaqque (Secretary, SMT), Mr. Hamza P. (Chief Executive, SMT), Ms. Fathima Binsi (Alumna), Mr. K.V. Anwar (Member, IQAC), Mr. Abdul Kareem (PTA Vice President), and Dr. Saritha K. (Vice Principal). During the ceremony, Dr Saritha K. was honoured for the successful completion of her PhD, and Mr Niranjan of Semester V B.Com Finance was honoured with the Star of the Month award for his academic and extracurricular excellence. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Shameena, FYUGP Coordinator, followed by an orientation and instructions to students and parents by Mr. Muhammed Arsal T.K., Nodal Officer (Admissions).

The post-tea session featured cultural performances by the Sarangi & Srishti Team, ACAS, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere for the newly admitted students and their parents. This was followed by the Induction and Parent Education Programme led by the Principal, which provided a comprehensive overview of the institution’s academic environment, academic regulations, student support services, code of conduct, and the expectations from students and parents under the FYUGP framework. The programme also included the selection of parent representatives, promoting active parental involvement in the institution’s academic and developmental initiatives. The session concluded with the National Anthem, followed by a lunch break. In the afternoon, students participated in the Add-on Induction Programme and the Hostellers’ Induction, where they were introduced to the college’s value-added courses, hostel facilities, rules, and support systems. The inaugural day of the three-day induction programme successfully laid the foundation for the students’ academic journey by familiarizing students and their parents with the institution’s vision, policies, and learning environment.
