The Department of Computer Science, Al Shifa College of Arts & Science, conducted an extension activity titled “Digital Shield – Protecting Every Home” on 26 September 2026 at 10:00 AM in Phase 1: Keezhattur Zone, under the CONNECT Initiative. As part of the activity, 15 nearby households were visited and provided with digital safety awareness.

The programme aimed to create awareness about digital security, cyber fraud, privacy protection, safe internet practices, and strong passwords. Awareness was provided on identifying and avoiding online scams, phishing attempts, fraudulent messages, suspicious links, fake calls, and other cyber threats. Participants were encouraged to use strong and unique passwords, protect personal and financial information, maintain privacy, and follow safe digital practices.
A notice containing important digital safety precautions and guidelines was also distributed to the households for future reference.
