About Scholarship Cell

Al Shifa College of Arts and Science established a Scholarship Cell to ensure that every student receives excellent academic facilities through various financial supports. Cell’s ultimate goal is to identify the most deserving students and assist them in obtaining various scholarships, such as government scholarships, private scholarships, scholarship from trust or charity organizations or foundations, scholarships from institution management, etc. Scholarships were made available despite the fact that Al Shifa College of Arts and Science offered various financial aid schemes to selected students.

Aims and Objectives

The college intends to make the academic programmes of the institution more attractive by trying to offer all students one scholarship or free ship. As most of the scholarships are based on merit, the students are motivated to sustain and improve their academic standard. Attracting meritorious students, sustaining their performance, and increasing their competence are the major benefits we aim to achieve through this practice. As most of our students hail from financially poor backgrounds, any financial assistance is a thing which is absolutely necessary for the completion of the programmes they are enrolled in.

The scholarship cell is under the charge of a scholarship Nodal Officer, appointed by the principal. The present Nodal Officer (2023-24) Mr. Anjel Juman. P, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics. All the department heads are members of the Scholarship Cell. Aside from that, conveners are appointed in each major department to ensure that all eligible students receive scholarships on time with the assistance of an administrative staff.
