Report on “Yoga and Wellbeing”, jointly organized by Yoga Club and Women Development Cell on 21 Feb ’22 in the College Seminar Hall.

“Yoga and Wellbeing”, was organized jointly by Yoga Club and Women Development Cell on 21 Feb ’22 in the College Seminar Hall at 9 am. Ms. Anupama. S. R, Registered Yoga Trainer (RYT- 200) and Head, Dept. of Psychology, Noble Women’s College Manjeri, started the session with an introduction to Yoga and explained how it helps people to align the body with the mind. The students were given practical sessions on various Asanas. The fundamental lessons on yogasanas were taught to the members of Yoga Club and WDC through demonstrations. She made them aware of how each of the asanas helps them improve their concentration and train to balance their body and mind. She concluded the session at 10.30 am with a meditation. It was clearly stated in the session that one will acquire the required skills only if one practices yoga daily and make it a part of the routine. Ms. Saritha. K, Coordinator, Yoga Club and Head, Dept. of English gave the formal welcome note and Ms. Ashida. A. P, Coordinator, WDC, and Asst. Prof. of Commerce proposed the vote of thanks.
