As a part of day observations, Department of English, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, Keezhattur, observed World Water Day on 24 March 2021 at 12.30 pm at Lecture Hall 1. In connection with the World Water Day, a Versification Competition on the theme – ‘Water: The Elixir of Life’ was organized. 12 students from I semester BA Functional English and 5 students from I semester BA Economics participated in the competition. Poems of vivid imagination were produced by the students. Deena, Fathima Febin and Muhammed Jamsheer of I BA Functional English grabbed the First, Second and Third positions respectively, in the competition. The time given was one hour and the competition ended up by 1.30 pm.
