Trading Club at Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, Kizhattur, Perinthalmanna, organized a session, 'Tribute to Rakesh Jhunjhunwala”, as a part of which Financial Market Quiz Competition & Documentary Screening were held. The session was led by Jassir Hussain, 5th Sem B Com Finance student.

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala (5 July 1960 – 14 August 2022) was an Indian billionaire and business magnate, stock trader, and investor. He is popularly known as Indian Warren Buffet. He started investing in 1985 with a capital of just ₹5,000 and at the time of his death he had an estimated net worth of $5.8 billion, and he is positioned as the 438th richest person in the world. He has been running his own asset management firm called ‘Rare Enterprises’. Besides being an active investor, he served as chairperson and director of several companies. He recently entered into airline business and started airline company called ‘Akasa Air’. He was widely known for his stock market predictions and bullish outlooks.Mr Rohit Ravi, HOD of Commerce and Mr. Suhaib. P, Assistant Professor of Commerce &Trading Club Coordinator remembered his contributions to the financial sectors of the economy.A documentary was showed to the students about his life journey. After the screening of the documentary the Quiz was started, based on financial marketing. Mr. Muhammed Noufal, HOD of Economics & Coordinator of Quiz Club made aware the students about the rules and regulations of Quiz Competition and Quiz was held by Jassir Hussain, 5th Sem Bcom Finance.In the competition, first prize was won by Anshid P & Muhammed Safeer of 5th Sem Bcom Finance and the second prize was won by 2 teams Althaf PT & Fuhadheen of 5th Sem Bcom Taxation and Mohammad Yaseen & Muhammed Abdul Basith of 5th semester BA Economics. The session was very interesting and informative and the students actively participated in the session. The session was started at 10:30 with a formal welcome address by Mr. Suhaib.
