The English Association Activities of Al Shifa College of Arts and Science was inaugurated by Ms. Vinetha M.K, Assistant Professor of English, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, at 8.45 am, on 27 June 2022, at the College Seminar Hall. The Session was anchored by Nandana Krishna P, Student, II B.A. Functional English. The programme commenced with a welcome address the Ms. Saritha K, Head, Department of English, followed by the principal’s address by Dr. Babu P.K, Principal, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, Keezhattur. Dr. Babu P.K appreciated all the contributions given by the Department of English so far and was optimistic about the future activities of the department. After the introduction of the chief guest by Farhana M.K, Student, V Semester B.A. Functional English, Ms. Vineetha M. K. addressed the audience and delivered a session on “Blue Sky Thinking’’. She said that the vast and endless thinking will take the students to next level. She inspired the students to take part in the various activities organized by the department through befitting anecdotes. After the talk, she officially inaugurated the English Association and launched the YouTube Channel. A micro-video on Queer Theory by Ms. Dheena. P, the student of V Semester B. A. Functional English, was played on YouTube. Midhulaj. P, Assistant Professor and Staff Co-Ordinator of English Association, Renjitha K.R, Assistant Professor, Department of English were present on the occasion. The session was concluded at 9.40 am with a vote of thanks by Dheena. P, Student, V Semester B.A Functional English.
