The session was inaugurated by Ms. Jameela Chaliyathodi, President, Kizhattur Grama Panchayath.
She appreciated the outreach program of the college and recalled the importance of financial
literacy among women. She shared various practices of the panchayath to empower women.
Following that, Dr. Babu P. K, principal, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, addressed the
gathering. He appreciated the initiative taken by the Department of Economics & Women
Development Cell (WDC).  Mr. Faizal, Manager, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, felicitated
on the occasion.

Mr. Muhammed Noufal presented a talk on why women were selected for the program and spoke
different aspects of exploitation due to lack of the financial literacy.
Ms. Ashida demonstrated financial management through a game and familiarised various schemes
of the government. The session came to an end at 11.30 am.
