Report on the Inaugural function of Add-on Courses for the Academic Year 2021-22, held on 17 September 2021

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Al Shifa College of Arts and Science organised the inaugural function of the Add on Courses for the academic year 2021-22 on 17 September 2021. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Najeeb Kanthapuram, MLA, Perinthalmanna Constituent Assembly. The programme started with a welcome address by Dr. Babu.P.K, Principal, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science. Dr. Babu, in his talk conveyed how the add-on programmes help the students to succeed in the emerging world, by exposing them to the skills and knowledge of the evolving industry-career demands. This was followed by presidential address by Dr. Unneen.P, Managing Trustee, Shifa Medicare Trust.

Mr. Najeeb Kanthapuram officially inaugurated the Add on courses for the academic year 2021-22 with an inaugural speech. He opined that skill based additional training and courses will help to the students to equip them for the industry-career demands. It is essential to embed modern skill-based courses and training with the regular degree courses. He congratulated the college for initiating such skill enhancing add on courses. The courses include IT Applications in Commerce, Logistics Management, Accent Training, conversational English and Quantitative tools in Economics.

Shifa Medicare Trust Secretary, Mr. K.T. Abdul Rassaque, Chief Executive Mr. Pilakkal Hamza, General Manager Mr. Suhail Hamza, was present in the programme. Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, Academic Mentor, Al Shifa College of Pharmacy felicitated the gathering. Saritha.K, Head, Department of English delivered the vote of thanks and the programme ended at 4 pm.
