Report on the College Arts Fest- Lollapalooza 2k22- held on 19 February 2022
in the College Auditorium

Lollapalooza 2k22, the college Arts Fest, commenced on 11 January 2022 with offstage
competitions. 21 events including, Essay Writing and Versification in Arabic, English,
Malayalam and Hindi, Short Story Writing in Arabic, English and Malayalam, Elocution in
English and Malayalam, Pencil Drawing, Cartoon, Photography, Collage, Debate, Quiz,
Embroidery and Poster Making, were held. The competition was between two houses, namely,
Zerox and Baccara. When the off-stage competitions ended, Baccara was in the lead with 90
points followed by Zerox with 67 points.

On 19 February 2022, Lollapalooza 2k22 staged the group events Mappilapattu,
Thiruvathirakali, Nadanppattu, Ganamela, Oppana for girls, Deshabakthiganam, individual
competitions including, Classical Dance, and Mappilappattu. The day started with an ‘Opening
Raga’ at 9.30 am in which Dr. Babu. P. K, Principal, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science,
Midhun Madhu, a student at Al Shifa College of Pharmacy, the young music director and
composer, Ms. Saritha. K, Arts coordinator and Head, Dept of English, and Altaf of II B. Com
Finance, ACAS, the student coordinator, were present. The young guest gave a musical treat
to the audience before the curtain was raised for the competitions. When the curtain fell,
Baccara and Zerox scored 134 points 78 points respectively, with Baccara maintaining the lead.
