A grand celebration was organised to mark the International Women’s Day on 8th of March in the College Auditorium at 2.30 pm on 8 March 21. Ms. Ashida. A.P, Asst. Professor of Commerce and WDC Coordinator, proposed welcome note. Dr. Babu P.K. Principal, in his presidential address, talked on the tag-line of International Women’s Day 2021, ‘Choose to Challenge’. Mrs. M.K Rafeekha, the Chief Guest of the day, told the story behind the celebration of International Women’s Day. She also emphasised on the theme for International Women’s Day 2021 and the hashtags (#ChooseToChallenge and #IWD2021). She also shared her experience, visiting various houses for election campaigning where she said, she found women exhibiting their talent in creative arts during the Covid lockdown period which turned to be a source of income for them. Mr. Pilakkal Hamza, Chief Executive of Shifa Medicare Trust, felicitated the programme and he honoured the guest with a memento. Mr. Muhammed Jamsheer K.V. of I sem BA Functional English proposed vote of thanks. The programme was wound up at 2pm.
