Report on Observance of Friendship Day by the Department of English on 05 Aug ‘21 via Gmeet
Department of English, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science observed Friendship Day (8 Aug ’21) on 05 August 2021 via Gmeet. The programme commenced at 11.50 am with a welcome speech by Muhammed Jamsheer, student of I BA Functional English, which was followed by a talk on the significance of friendship in a person’s character formation and how it strengthens the interpersonal bond by Ms. Sabina, Assistant Professor of English. A discussion was then conducted by the students on their concept of friendship. This was followed by a conversation between two friends meeting after a long interval was carried out by Deena. P and Farhana. M. K, and Mohamed Shalikh and Muhammed Sultan. The programme wrapped up at 12.20 pm with a vote of thanks by Sana Zain. Class tutor Ms. Sabina congratulated the participants.
