Report on “A Session on Public Speaking” organized by the English Club on 17 March ’22.
“A Session on Public Speaking” was organized by the English Club on 17 March ’22 at 12 pm in Lecture Hall 4. Ms. Saritha. K, Head, Department of English, and JCI International Trainer handle a practical session on public speaking to the members of English Club , Al Shifa College of Arts and Science. The session began with an ice breaking session. The students were put in teams and we’re asked to share any story of their choice with their group. This was a pre learning activity. Following that, inputs were given on poster, gesture and eye contact. Keeping these ideas in mind, the participants were given a topic to speak. At the end of the one and a half hour session, all the participants were able to present a speech. The video on their final presentations were recorded and feedback was given individually. The session came to an end at 1. 30 pm. Ms. Sabina, Coordinator, English Club and Assistant Professor of English, coordinated the event.
