Report of Session on Emerging Trends in Banking, organized by the Department of Commerce, held on 15 March 2022.
The Department of Commerce conducted a session on Emerging Trends in Banking in the college Seminar Hall on 15 March 2022. Ms. Sruthi Sarath, Branch Operations Manager, ESAF Bank, Vellinezhi, led the session from 11.30pm to 12.30pm. The session started with formal welcome address by Rohith. R, Head, Department of Commerce. The session was conducted as a part of the Add on course of I semester B com students on Banking Services. Ms. Sruthi started with the fundamentals of banking and proceeded with types of banks, deposits, accounts etc. She also gave an account of the Apps and net banking strategies that are used currently. It was a fine learning experience for the students because practical sessions on filling the bank slips were done during the session. Aysha Nishna, II Sem B Com Finance, delivered the vote of thanks. The programme came to an end at 12.30 pm.
