Inauguration of (WDC) at Alshifa College of Arts and Science, Keezhatur, Perinthalmanna was held on 14 January 2021(Thursday) by Dr.Suneetha T.V, Associate Professor, Dept. of Cultural Heritage Studies, Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University. She delivered a talk on “Gender sensitization in Higher Education”. As a journalist and a writer, she shared her experience in becoming a media person in a very interesting and inspiring manner. She specially mentioned some of the most painful experiences a woman had to go through in a family and society. She ended the conversation reminding the group that one should stand with victims of gender discrimination when such situation arises rather than ignoring them. There were 70 participants.

Ms. Ashida AP coordinator of Women Development Cell (WDC) and Faculty of the Department of Commerce delivered the welcome note. In the absence of Principal Prof. PK Babu, Mrs. Saritha Mahesh, Head of the Department of English felicitated. Mrs. Febeena, faculty of Malayalam at Alshifa College of Arts and science, Keezhatur proposed vote of thanks. Participants enthusiastically attended the session. The meeting was held on G Meet between 10.30 am and 11.30 am.
