Department of Economics, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science keezhattur, Perinthalmanna. organised an online invited talk on Methodology of Economics for Beginners on 7January 2021, Thursday by Dr.Shyjan Davis, Registrar and Associate professor, Thunjath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University, Tirur. He shared and enlightened students about how to approach Economics and suggested various interesting books on Economics for readings at the beginning stage. He introduced several economists and detailed how they approached economics and solved complex working of the economic system. He emphasized the importance of taking decisions from different alternative choices.

Mr. Mohammed Noufal M. Head, Department of Economics coordinated the session. Welcome address by Aswathy K. Faculty of Psychology, Department of Economics was followed by the principal’s address. Dr PK Babu, emphasized the importance of understanding the methodology at the earlier stage. Mohammad Arshad, Association Secretary, first BA Economics proposed vote of thanks. Shahana Sherin of 1st B.Com Finance, raised a question during the Q and A session.The meeting was held between 9:30 to 10:30 am on G Meet.
