The NSS Unit of Al Shifa College of Arts and Science (ACAS) observed NSS Day on 24 September 2026 at the college campus with active participation from NSS volunteers and members of the college community.

The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony by the Principal, Dr. Kamaludheen. The formal programme was inaugurated by Mr. Nahas Abdul Razzaq, Manager, Placement and Relations, ACAS.

Dr. Kamaludheen, Principal, and Dr. Saritha K, Vice Principal, addressed the gathering and highlighted the values, objectives, and social commitment of the National Service Scheme.

Mr. Irshad K, Assistant Professor of Arabic and NSS Programme Officer, welcomed the gathering. Ms. Sagara, 3rd Semester B.A. English Language and Literature, delivered the NSS Day Message, emphasizing the spirit of volunteerism, social responsibility, and service to society.

As part of the programme, Mr. Fadil V, 3rd Semester B.Com Finance, administered the NSS Oath to the volunteers. Mr. Aadishyam, 3rd Semester B.Com CA, delivered a speech on the Thoofan Cammado Programme, highlighting its relevance and objectives.

The newly designed NSS jersey was officially released by Mr. Nahas Abdul Razzaq, Manager, Placement and Relations, ACAS, marking a special moment of pride and unity for the NSS volunteers.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Muhammed Sinan, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, NSS volunteers, and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.

The NSS Day observance served as a meaningful occasion to reaffirm the commitment of the NSS Unit of Al Shifa College of Arts and Science towards community service, social responsibility, leadership, and the development of responsible citizens.
