The Department of Management Studies, Alshifa College of Arts and Science, organized the Inauguration Ceremony of the Centre for Business Excellence (CBE) and Eventathon Club on 18 August 2026 at 10:30 a.m. in the Seminar Hall. The programme was attended by first, second and third year BBA students. The programme began with the welcome address by Dr. Shibla Sherin P.( Head& Assistant professor of Management Studies) followed by the presidential address by Dr. Kamaludheen KT, (Principal,ACAS). Dr. P. Kalpana(Assistant professor of Management Studies)introduced the Centre for Business Excellence, while Ms. Sreelakshmi Haridas (Assistant professor of Management Studies) introduced the Eventathon Club. Felicitation addresses were delivered by Mr. Nahas Abdul Razak (Manager , Placement and Relation, SMT) Dr. Saritha K.(Vice Principal , ACAS)and Mini VK ( Head& Assistant Professor of Commerce)

The official inauguration was conducted by Mr. Afthab Shoukath P V, (Founder & CEO, Xpresso Global Holdings, Entrepreneur, Brand Visionary and Ecosystem Builder). In his inspiring address, he shared his entrepreneurial journey and experiences in achieving business excellence and success. He highlighted the importance of hard work, innovation, continuous learning, leadership and perseverance in building a successful career and business. The session was followed by an interactive discussion with the students, where they had the opportunity to ask questions and gain practical insights into entrepreneurship and professional development.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Siyad PK (Assistant Professor of Management Studies). The inauguration ceremony was an informative and inspiring experience for the students, providing them with valuable insights into entrepreneurship, business excellence and career development. The launch of the Centre for Business Excellence and Eventathon Club is expected to create opportunities for students to develop their managerial, leadership, entrepreneurial and event-management skills.
