Irshad K is a dedicated Assistant Professor of Arabic with over nine years of experience in higher education. Since beginning his teaching career in 2017, he has been committed to delivering quality education while inspiring students to achieve academic excellence, personal growth, and lifelong learning. His teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking, ethical values, and student-centered education.

Throughout his career, he has served in several higher educational institutions across Kerala, gaining extensive experience in Arabic language and literature, curriculum development, academic mentoring, and departmental administration. His innovative teaching methods and commitment to academic excellence have established him as a passionate educator and mentor.

Currently, he serves as the Assistant Professor of Arabic and Head of the Department of Arabic at Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, Perinthalmanna. In addition, he is the NSS Programme Officer, where he leads community engagement initiatives, environmental campaigns, youth leadership programmes, and social service activities that foster civic responsibility and holistic student development.

His academic interests include Arabic language and literature, translation studies, language pedagogy, and community-based education. Through his dedication to teaching, leadership, and service, Irshad continues to contribute meaningfully to higher education by nurturing competent, socially responsible, and future-ready graduates.

Visit to Pratheeksha Buds School, Pandikkad Students from Pratheeksha School Coordinator The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Al Shifa College of Arts and Science organized a visit to Pratheeksha Buds School, Pandikkad on 27 October 2025, as part of its community outreach and social responsibility initiatives. The visit aimed to bring smiles to the faces of differently-abled children and to nurture in the volunteers a deeper sense of empathy, inclusiveness, and social commitment.
Nature Camp organised at Aralam Wildlife Division College Students Coordinator The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, Keezhattur, Perinthalmanna, successfully organised a two-day Nature Camp at Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary, Kannur, under the guidance of the Wildlife Warden, Aralam Wildlife Division, on the 28th and 29th of September 2025.
Community Health Awareness Programme Rural Households Coordinator The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Al Shifa College of Arts and Science in collaboration with the Family Health Centre, Keezhattur and Keezhattur Grama Panchayat successfully conducted a Community Health Awareness Programme on 21 June 2025. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the prevention of communicable diseases, particularly focusing on mosquito-borne illnesses,jaundice, and the importance of safe drinking water practices.
Medical Camp and Awareness Class for Women Rural Households Coordinator The National Service Scheme (NSS) and Women Development Cell, in collaboration with KIMS Al Shifa Hospital, organized a Medical Camp and Awareness Class for Women on 28 February 2025, at IMALP School, Aanappamkuzhi. The initiative aimed at promoting women’s health and well-being by providing free medical check-ups and raising awareness about essential health issues
Nature Camp at Thirunelly Brahmagiri Forest Students Coordinator The National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross and the Nature Club of Al Shifa College of Arts and Science successfully organized a two-day Nature Camp in collaboration with the Forest Department, Government of Kerala. The camp was conducted at the Thirunelly Brahmagiri Forest, Wayanad, on the 30 November and 01 December 2024.
