Mission:

The mission of the English Club is to facilitate the improvement of spoken English proficiency among students from various departments through participation in accessible and enjoyable activities. We aim to cultivate a relaxed and supportive environment conducive to English communication. Our objective is to foster an appreciation for literature and language, thereby nurturing students’ interest in linguistic pursuits. Additionally, we endeavour to equip students with both general English proficiency and industry-specific language skills essential for academic and professional success.

Vision:

Our vision is to establish the English Club as a pivotal resource for students seeking to enhance their spoken English abilities. We aspire to create a welcoming atmosphere where students feel comfortable practicing English conversation through engaging activities. We aim to instill a passion for literature and language exploration, inspiring a lifelong commitment to linguistic growth. Furthermore, we envision graduates equipped not only with strong English language skills but also with the adaptability and fluency required to excel in diverse academic and professional contexts.

Activities

Campus Activities

The English Club works hard to help students improve their language skills in a friendly setting. We organize fun competitions like speaking contests and writing contests, and we give prizes to the winners. We also have regular activities to practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Sometimes, successful alumni come to share their stories and talk about why good English skills are important for finding jobs. We encourage students to form small groups where they only speak English, both on and off-campus. And we provide books and materials about language and literature to help members learn more. Our goal is to give students the support and resources they need to become better at English and succeed in their studies and future careers.
