The Cyber Club of Alshifa College of Arts and Science is an initiative under the Department of Computer Science, established with the aim of fostering digital awareness and cyber safety among students and faculty members. It also commemorates national cyber awareness days to promote digital responsibility. The club collaborates with external agencies and cyber cells for outreach and engagement. Objectives
- Promote awareness of cyber threats, ethical hacking, and information security.
- Provide training on digital tools and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with departments and external agencies for cybersecurity-related programs.
- Create digital content (videos, posters, blogs) to spread cyber awareness.
- Encourage students to report and act against cyberbullying and digital crimes.
Structure

- Awareness Program on Effective and Safe Social Media Usage (01/07/2025)
The Cyber Club, in association with the Department of Computer Science, conducted an awareness session on safe social media usage on 01 July 2025. Led by Mr. Farhan V M, the session highlighted responsible online behaviour and cyber safety practices, encouraging students to become responsible digital citizens.
- Panel Discussion on AI in Cybersecurity (24/09/2025)
A panel discussion on “AI in Cybersecurity” was organized on 24 September 2025, featuring III BSc AI students as panel members. The session explored AI applications in cybersecurity, emerging challenges, and innovative solutions to cyber threats. It was highly interactive and promoted collaborative learning among students.
- Interactive Session on Career Exploration in Cybersecurity (27/02/2026)
An interactive session on cybersecurity careers was conducted on 27 February 2026 by Mr. Vaisakh O, Senior Civil Police Officer, Cyber Cell Malappuram. The session provided insights into career opportunities, ethical hacking, and real-world cybercrime scenarios. Students actively engaged and gained clarity on skills and pathways in cybersecurity.
- Lecture on Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Security (27/02/2026)
A lecture on AI in Cyber Security was held on 27 February 2026, led by Mr. Vaisakh O. The session focused on AI-driven cybersecurity solutions, current threats, and ethical practices. It was informative and enhanced students’ understanding of emerging trends in the field.
