As part of the Tech Talk series, the Department of Computer Science, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, conducted Tech Talk – Vol. 13 on 13 August 2026 at 9:00 am in Seminar hall, to enhance technical awareness and promote peer learning among students. The session was handled by Ms. Hasna P & Ms. Fathima Rasha K from I Semester B.Sc. Artificial Intelligence; they delivered a talk on the topic “Quantum Computing”.

The speakers explained the fundamental concepts of Quantum Computing, highlighting how it differs from classical computing by using qubits and principles such as superposition and entanglement. They discussed the potential of quantum computers to solve complex problems at unprecedented speeds and explored their real-world applications in areas such as AI and machine learning, cryptography, drug discovery, and weather modelling.
