As a part of the completion of the degree course at Calicut University, it is required to complete compulsory social service by all undergraduate students. Social service was made part of the curriculum of the undergraduate courses at Calicut University since 1998. The work done under CSS shall be recorded in a printed book published by the University of Calicut.
