The centrality of communications skills in the transactions of the affairs of life and the challenges of careers need no emphasis. Despite the thrust of technology into our every day lives, the need for effective and impressive communications skills continue to be one of the prerequisites. Perhaps more because of the integration of technology and the threat of its dominance, the call for effective human communication has been strengthened today.

The Centre for Development of English Language Skills (CDELS) at Al Shifa College of Arts & Science will be attempting to address the English Language skill deficit among students of the college and the larger public around with studied interferences. The Centre will design and run programmes of short and long duration with a view to upskill the target groups. These programmes, designed after considering the need among students, public and professionals, will be delivered online / face to face or in blended formats. The trainers of the programmes will be experts in respective areas, either academicians or language professionals across the world.
