An Orientation Programme on Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) was organised on 11 August 2026 ,10.30 am to 12.00pm at the Seminar Hall, Alshifa College of Arts and Science by UBA Cell, with the participation of NSS Volunteers. The programme commenced with the Welcome Note by Mr. Siyad P. K., (Assistant Professor of Management Studies and Coordinator, UBA, ACAS), followed by the Presidential Address by Dr. Kamaludheen K. T., (Principal, ACAS). The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Nahas Abdul Razak, (Manager, Placement and Relations, SMT).

The orientation session was handled by Mr. Akhil G. S., Project Coordinator, Regional Coordinating Institute (RCI), Kerala Agricultural University, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, who explained the objectives, significance, and activities of UBA. The programme also included felicitation by Dr. Prashanth V.P.,( Head and Assistant professor of Economics,Vice Principal incharge ,ACAS) and Mr. Irshad K., (Assistant Professor of Arabic and NSS Programme Officer, ACAS) The session concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Muhammed Fawas V, (III Semester B.Com CA student and NSS Volunteer). The programme helped the NSS Volunteers gain a better understanding of the role of UBA in promoting rural development, community engagement, and meaningful collaboration between educational institutions and rural communities.
