Al Shifa Project Prize is instituted by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Al Shifa College of Arts and Science in the year 2022 to help raise the quality of student projects in the Under Graduate programmes. Student Project is a component of the UG curriculum which is often taken lightly by the students, thus neglecting an area which can bring in rich academic and career dividends. The Al Shifa Project Prize hopes to not only promote UG student projects with quality, it will help bring awareness about the significance of the student projects and raise the bar across colleges. This award is designed to acknowledge student projects that demonstrate excellence in the areas of originality of concept and excellence of thought, analysis, writing, and presentation.

College Who is Eligible?

A student who has completed her/his UG programme in a college affiliated to University of Calicut, with English, Economics or Commerce as core subject in the academic year 2021-22 can apply for the APP. The Al Shifa Project Prize recognizes outstanding UG Projects by students in the said undergraduate streams.

A nomination for this award may be submitted by the Head of the Dept, duly attested by the Project supervisor and Head of the Institution.

Student coordinator:

NOTE: A College may submit only one nomination for this award. If an institution has both an undergraduate Language and Functional English graduate program, a nomination may be submitted for each program.

PRIZE DESCRIPTION AND CRITERIA

SELECTION, AWARD, AND RECOGNITION

The Al Shifa Project Prize will be cash awards of Rs. 3000, Rs. 2000 and Rs. 1000 each for the three top projects in each subject and certificates. Prize winners will be notified as soon as they have been determined (anticipated to be June of each year).

From the projects submitted, six projects will make it to the shortlist. All the shortlisted candidates will be called for live presentation and the final three will be awarded the Al Shifa UG Project Prize.
