Saritha K, Vice Principal and IQAC Coordinator. Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, successfully defended her PhD thesis at the Department of English, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (Deemed to be University), Coimbatore, on 6 July 2026, earning the Doctor of Philosophy degree after the successful completion of her open viva voce examination.

Her doctoral research, titled “Navigating Cisnormativity, Intersectionality and Power Struggles in the Select Indian Transgender Narratives,” makes a significant contribution to the interdisciplinary fields of Gender Studies, Transgender Studies, Health Humanities, and Literary Studies.
