World Arabic Day is celebrated worldwide on 18 December with the aim of celebrating multilingualism and cultural diversity. Arabic Club, Alshifa College of Arts and Science organized various competitions for the students on 18 December 2020. Competitions included Versification in Arabic, Quiz competition in Arabic and Calligraphy Designing in Arabic. Versification topic was “Time- وقت) wakth)” and Calligraphy designing topic was ” يَؤتُ ْي مُْال ِعل
تِي “َُوََل يَأ. Sixteen students registered for different competition and fourteen students participated in Quiz competition, three students participated in Versification in Arabic as well as Calligraphy Designing.
DHEENA ( 1st Year BA Functional English ) secured first place, MUBASHIR. P ( 1st B.COM Finance ) won second place and BASILA SHERIN ( 1st Year BA Functional English) secured third place in versification.
SHAFNA NASRIN. K ( 1st Year BA Economics ), MUBASHIR. P ( 1st B.COM Finance) and ARSHAD. CT ( 1st Year B.com Finance ) secured first, second and third places respectively in Calligraphy Designing.
Fourteen students faced a tight competition in Quiz. FATHIMA NASEEHATH. KP ( 1st Year BA Economics ) won the first prize in quiz competition and second place was shared by five students Ms. DHEENA. P ( 1st Year BA Functional English ), MUBASHIR. P ( 1st B.COM Finance), MOHAMMED ARSHAD. P ( 1st Year BA Economics ), SANA ZAIN. KP ( 1st Year BA Functional English )and HANIYA. K ( 1st Year BA Functional English ). Principal congratulated all the winners through text message.
