Inaugural session of ‘Thanimalayalam’, Malayalam club was held at Al Shifa College of Arts and Science Keezhatoor, Perinthalmanna, on 25 February 2021 by Dr.Rajesh Monji, Assistant Professor of Malayalam, DGMMES Mampad College. He delivered a talk on ‘Mathrbhashayum Jaivabhoomikayum’. He talked about the importance of mother-tongue and the history of International Mother-Tongue Day. He gave a detailed description about dialect and formal language with simple examples. The session was very interactive and he made it live and entertaining with poem recital. There were 45 participants.

Ms. Febeena K, Faculty, Department of Malayalam delivered the welcome note. Dr.P.K Babu, Principal, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, addressed the gathering. Sanjay P.K of first B.Com Finance proposed vote of thanks. Ms.Salukripa. M of first B.Com Finance, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, anchored the session. The students attended the session with enthusiasm. The session was held at college Seminar Hall between 10.30 am and 11.30pm.
