Irshad Ameen K. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce and Management Studies at Al Shifa College of Arts and Science with extensive experience in higher education. He holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce with a specialization in Marketing, and has qualified both the NTA UGC-NET and the Kerala-SET. Over his career, he has specialized in delivering core problem-based courses including Financial Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Income Tax Law and Accounts, and Managerial Economics. He possesses advanced corporate domain expertise in computerized accounting systems, backed by over three years of active teaching experience in Tally ERP 9 and Tally Prime frameworks.
He has held several critical academic and administrative leadership positions, currently serving as the Coordinator of the Centre for Competitive Examinations (CCE), the Institutional Coordinator for Industrial Visits, Tours, and Field Visits, and directing both the College Website and the Institutional Media Wing. Under the strategic corporate memorandum of understanding between the college and Tally Education Pvt. Ltd., he serves as the designated institutional Resource Person for the Tally Essential Level 1 professional certification program. Working as a core team member of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), his extensive accreditation background includes serving as the Institutional In-Charge for NAAC Criterion 2 (Teaching-Learning and Evaluation) and NAAC Criterion 7 (Institutional Values and Best Practices), and presently heading NAAC Criterion 10 under the updated accreditation framework. He has also served as the Additional Chief Superintendent for Internal and University Examinations, actively leading high-profile extension initiatives, including joint training courses with the Kerala Police Department.
