The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Al Shifa College of Arts and Science,organized a one-day session on ‘How to Design an Add-on Course’ on 04 August 2022 at the seminar hall. 33 faculty members from various higher education institutions participated in the session. The session started at 10.30 am. Mr Rohith Ravi IQAC Coordinator welcomed the gathering. Ms Renjitha. K, Assistant Professor of English,introduced the resource person. Dr Babu. P.K, the Principal and speaker, started the session with an introduction about the Add-on courses and their relevance in the present scenario in the higher education sector. Then the speaker moved to the curriculum designing for add-on Courses. How to specify the course outcome and the relevance of productive collaborations for the successful running of add-on courses. He specified Al Shifa College of Arts and Science’s collaborations with leading higher educational institutions like Rajagiri College of Social Science (Autonomous), Vimala College, Farook College (Autonomous), etc. After the presentation the was session open for discussion. Participants enthusiastically participated in the discussion and clarified their queries.
