A Training session was conducted for the Anganawadi workers of the Municipalitym of Perinthalmanna, by Centre for Development of English Language Skills (CDELS) under the Department of English, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, on 6 July 2022, at Anganawadi Centre No. 58, Manathamangalam, Municipality of Perinthalmanna. 26 Workers from the Anganawadis under the Municipality of Perinthalmanna benefited from the session. The session started at 2 PM with a welcome note by Ms. Sainaba, ICDS Supervisor. Ms. Saritha. K, Head of the Dept. of English, did the first part of the training, in which she gave print outs with details on how to do self-introduction. The Anganawadi teachers practised the writing on the paper and presented it. In the second part, Mr. Midhulaj. P, Asst. Prof. of English, made the workers practise ‘introducing one person to another’. In the last part of the training session, Ms. Renjitha. K. R, Asst. Prof. of English, made them practise how to make polite requests. Oral feedback of the attendees was taken. The session came to an end at 4.00 PM with a vote of thanks by Ms. Panchali, one of the Anganawadi Workers.
