The second phase of the Induction Programme for the students of the first semester was conducted on 29 October 2021. After the principal’s address, Mr. Rohith R. (Head of the Dept. of Commerce) introduced the college activities to the students.
Mr. Mohammed Noufal (Head of the Dept. of Economics) handled a session called ‘We are ACAS’ in which he detailed the facilities available at the campus such as Library, language Lab, G Suit, ICT and other online facilities. Ms. Febina (Asst. Professor in Malayalam) spoke on the clubs at the college.
Mr. Irshad K. related to the students on Arts and Cultural activities such as Magazine, Newsletter, Blogs, Podcasts, Sports and Games organised in Al Shifa College of Arts and Science.
dents inIn the ice breaking session, Mr. Junais V. (Vice Principal, Al Shifa College of Pharmacy) facilitated an interactive session for the stu which they could mingle with each other, overcoming barriers to communication. A session on ‘Big Think: Putting Dreams to Practice’ was handled by Ms. Sabina K. in which she spoke on Career Training and Placement Cell, Project Quality Cell, Civil Service Coaching, Innovation Centre, Scholar Mentor Programme, Skill Enhancement Programme, Centre for Development of English Language Skills (CDELS).
In the following session, Ms. Saritha K. (Head of the Dept. of English) spoke on Student Redressal Cell, Anti-Ragging Cell, Examination Process, Scholarship Cell, and Medical Inspection. Mr. Suhaib (Asst. Professor, Dept. of Commerce) introduced to the students the Add-on Programmes available for them, arranged in collaboration with leading colleges in Kerala. The second day of the Induction Programme helped the students to acquire a comprehensive idea of the functioning of the college.
