An induction programme for the students of the first year was held on 27 October 2021, at 2PM, in the college auditorium. The welcome note was delivered by Ms. Ashida A.P, Assistant Professor of Commerce. Principal Dr. Babu P. K. addressed the students and parents, elaborating on the opportunities facilitated by the college for the students, excellence of the faculty, rules and regulations to be followed by the students, college timing, and the significance of learning effective communication in English. In his talk, he focused mainly on the achievements of Al Shifa College of Arts and Science within one year of its inception.
Mr. Pilakkal Hamza, Chief Executive of Shifa Medicare Trust, spoke on college facilities. He added that the students should make best use of the avenues provided by the college and contribute to the growth of the institution.
Mr. Rohith R. (Head of the Dept. of Commerce) and Ms. Saritha K. (Head of the Dept. Of English) made a presentation on the departments, cells, clubs and the general nature of the activities held at the campus for the sake of the students. They explained on the MoUs signed between various leading institutions in Kerala to provide the students with add on courses.
Dr. Mohammed Yahiya, superintendent at Kims Al Shifa Super Specialty Hospital, Perinthalmanna, felicitated the occasion. He shared the concerns of the parents who send their children to a college campus, in the hope that they would emerge successful by the end of the course. He reassured the parents that they have made the right choice by selecting Al Shifa College of Arts and Science for the education of their children.
Mr. Suhail Hamza, the General Manager of the college felicitated the occasion by congratulating the students and the parents for their decision to choose Al Shifa College of Arts and Science.
At the end of the event Mr. Rohith R delivered a vote of thanks.
A general body meeting of the parents and teachers followed the Induction Programme.
