The Department of Commerce at Al Shifa College of Arts and Science in collaboration with Career Training and Placement Cell, organized an orientation session for first- and second-year B.Com students regarding an additional accounting course on 13/10/26 at 10:00 am in the seminar hall. The program, titled Beyond the Degree: Industry Readiness & Professional Accounting Program, marked the launch of this supplementary initiative and included a follow-up session component to ensure comprehensive student engagement.

Mohamed Riyas Babu, Chief Operations Officer (COO) from Accounts Solutions, Perinthalmanna, led the session. He highlighted the importance of additional courses for degree students, emphasizing that the future is brighter for B.Com graduates who build practical skills. The orientation also featured an interactive activity connected with various cheques and how they are applied in accounting.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Anas, Faculty of Commerce. Mr. Irshad Ameen K, Assistant Professor and Department-in-Charge, Department of Commerce, was also present during the session. A total of 46 students actively participated and benefited from the program.
