As part of the academic requirements of the Fifth Semester BBA curriculum, the Department of Management Studies organised an Industrial Visit to the Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IGJ), Inkel Edu City, Malappuram, on 22 September 2026 at 10:00 AM. A total of 25 students of the Fifth Semester BBA participated in the visit, accompanied by Ms. Rayhana K, Assistant Professor of Management Studies, and Mr. Anas K, Assistant Professor of Commerce.

The visit was organised with the objective of providing students with first-hand exposure to industry practices and enabling them to relate the concepts learned through their Operations Management course to actual industrial applications. The visit also aimed to familiarise students with the various processes, technologies and skills involved in jewellery designing and the gems and jewellery industry. During the visit, the students received detailed explanations and practical exposure to manual sketching of jewellery designs, computer-aided jewellery designing using AutoCAD, gemmology and related technical aspects.
