The PG Department of Psychology, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science organized an Invited Student Talk Series on the topic “Brain Rot” on 13 August 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Seminar Hall.

The session aimed to create awareness among students about the concept of brain rot, its relationship with excessive digital media consumption, and its possible impact on psychological well-being, attention, and everyday functioning.

The programme was welcomed by Arsha P P, Head of the Department of Psychology, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science. The invited talk was delivered by Faris Bin Faisal, III Semester M.Sc. Psychology student of Najath Arts and Science College, Mannarkkad. The session provided students with valuable insights into the psychological aspects of excessive digital content consumption and encouraged them to reflect on their digital habits.
