The Department of Computer Science, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, Perinthalmanna, organized an Industry Visit from 31 July 2026 to 3 August 2026 for 33 Third Semester BCA and B.Sc. Artificial Intelligence students. As part of the programme, the students visited Regional IT Solutions, Kozhikode, and travelled to Chikkamagaluru and Coorg. The visit was accompanied by Mr. Irshad A. and Ms. Ragi K. Haridas, Assistant Professors, Department of Computer Science.

The primary objective of the programme was to provide students with practical exposure to the functioning of the IT industry and to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. During the industry visit, students were introduced to various aspects of software development, IT infrastructure, project management, web and application development, and emerging technologies used in the industry. They also interacted with industry professionals, who shared valuable insights into current industry trends, workplace expectations, career opportunities, and the importance of both technical and soft skills.
