The Department of English at Al Shifa College of Arts and Science hosted a series of events under its English Association, Elsinore, in the college Conference Room. Held on July 27, 2026, the program featured diverse student-led sessions spanning literary honors, creative performance, vocabulary development, and interactive learning. Highlights included “Echoes of Genius,” a presentation on Vaikom Muhammed Basheer by Mufeeda P. (V Sem B.A. English); “Rhyme & Reason,” delivered by Fathima Sherin M. P. (V Sem B.A. English); a “Lexicon Launch” presented by Maneesha (III Sem B.A. English); and “Crack the Code,” an interactive riddle lounge facilitated by first-semester students Muneefa and Shibin.

The program also incorporated faculty insight and critical discourse on contemporary issues. In the “Words Worth Sharing” segment, Ms. Renjitha K. R., Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of English, delivered a talk on the course “The Science of Wellbeing” offered by Yale University. The event concluded with a student panel discussion titled “System Failure or Political Hijack? Unpacking the Delhi Protests,” moderated by Fathima Shabeera K. (V Sem B.A. English), providing a platform for analytical debate and critical thinking.
