The department of Commerce and Project Quality Cell at Al Shifa College of Arts and Science jointly organised a student project support session for III Semester B Com Students. As a part of their UG Curriculum, the students have to submit a project work on their last semester. As a part of the same, the department has planned to organise a series of sessions. The first session on the topic ‘Identification of Project Area and Topic’ was conducted on 11 November 2021. The session was led by Ms. Ashida. A.P, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce.
The speaker started the session with the questions what research is and why research is important in the modern era. She explained in detail the research concepts, what the different fields of research in commerce are, why research is important in commerce and how to identify a research area. After that, she pointed out some research topics and how to identify the research gap. The speaker has given an insight into the different areas of commerce research like research in Finance, HR and Marketing. The session was winded up with the introduction of some latest research topics in different fields.
