Teaching as a Career: Attitude, Aptitude and Skills, was a training session organized by the Career Training and Placement Cell (CTPC), Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, on 9 November 21, in the Lecture Hall I at 10.30 am. The session was presented by Ms. Saritha. K, Head, Dept. of English, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, to the students who had chosen teaching as their dream career. The session opened with an activity. The participants were asked to prepare any five qualities of a good teacher, taking their role model teachers as example. She explained to them the fundamental skills and attitude that one should possess to become a teacher. Communicative skills, organisational skills, leadership qualities, punctuality, patience, were a few qualities that were discussed and the students were asked to explore the opportunities available at college that would aid them to enhance these skills. The presentation was concluded at 11. 20.
